Pertex Shield stretch garments have a hydrophilic PU membrane, designed to attract and retain water molecules due to the membrane’s “water-loving” nature. This 3-layer fabric is softer and more stretchy, and creates a superior next-to-skin comfort with a ‘slide’n’glide’ effect to reduce friction with garments worn underneath, and guarantees 100% waterproofness. Pertex® fabrics are PFAS-free, making them a better choice for you to wear, use and rely on – year after year.
A hydrophilic PU membrane due to its ‘water-loving’ properties, occasionally cause a slight puckering effect on the surface of the material, particularly on lighter-coloured garments, when exposed to heavy moisture. Please rest assured, this is not a fabric defect, and the material will return to its smooth texture once fully dry.
